Construction site camera monitoring with BauTV+ costs € 199 per month for the base package, plus a one-time installation fee starting at € 349. Optional modules run from € 29 to € 49 per month each. Minimum contract term is three months. All prices exclude VAT.

That is the short version. The longer version depends on how many modules you switch on and how long your project runs.

What the € 199 base package covers

The monthly fee is not just hardware rental. It includes the camera on your site, the data connection, hosting on servers inside the EU, and access to the cloud portal for your team. The camera records an image every 15 minutes, which builds a continuous visual record of the build without anyone having to walk the site with a phone.

Installation from € 349 covers mounting, alignment and commissioning. The exact figure depends on the mast or building you attach to, the height, and whether power and access are already available. A camera bolted to an existing site container costs less to install than one that needs a dedicated mast on a greenfield plot.

Add-on modules and what they cost

Four extensions can be booked on top of the base package, each billed monthly:

• Progress (€ 29): structured progress documentation and time-lapse output.
• Site Management (€ 49): tools aimed at daily coordination and logistics on site.
• Privacy (€ 49): automatic pixelation of faces and license plates, so your footage stays GDPR compliant.
• Livestream (€ 39): live image for clients, investors or your own project office.

A fairly typical setup for a residential project in the Netherlands or Belgium is base plus Progress plus Privacy. That comes to € 277 per month, plus the one-off installation. Add Livestream for a client-facing project page and you are at € 316.

The Privacy module deserves a note. If your camera view includes a public road, a neighboring garden or the site entrance where workers pass, you are processing personal data. Automatic pixelation handles that at the source, before the image lands in the portal. It is € 49 well spent compared to the administrative pain of a complaint.

What drives the total budget

Three factors decide what you actually pay over the life of a project.

Project duration. A twelve-month build with the base package alone costs € 349 plus twelve times € 199, so € 2,737 excluding VAT. Our Eisenberg test project ran 597 days, roughly twenty months. Long projects spread the installation cost thin and make the monthly rate the number that matters.

Number of viewpoints. One camera covers one angle. A long linear site, an infrastructure job or a large plot with two work fronts usually needs two or three positions. The monthly cost scales roughly with the camera count.

How the cost compares to what it prevents

A single disputed claim about who damaged what, or when a floor was actually poured, can swallow more in legal hours than a year of camera subscription. Since 1997 we have documented more than 10,000 construction projects, and the pattern repeats: the footage gets pulled out of the archive months after the fact, usually by a project manager who needs to prove a date.
