Construction camera and GDPR? It works.
Real-time person blurring, sensitive objects dynamically detected, servers in the EU, data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR included.
Drag the slider —left original, right blurred
People, faces and licence plates are made unrecognisable automatically, before the image is even stored. Construction progress stays fully visible.
What automatic blurringlooks like in practice
Original captures from live projects: people and neighbouring homes are anonymised in real time — construction progress remains fully documented.
-
People blurred automatically — site activity stays visible
-
Adjacent homes anonymised — GDPR-compliant field of view
What GDPR-complianceon-site means
Site assessment + real-time blurring + documentation. NetCo doesn't provide legal advice — but we engage with the topic intensively.
- Real-time
Person blurring by default
Every person is blurred automatically — before storage. No manual post-processing.
- Dynamic
Sensitive objects detected
AI detects license plates, faces, door signs — and blurs dynamically based on content.
- Visible
Buildings and machines remain
Structure, crane, materials stay visible. Only sensitive data is blurred.
- EU servers
Hosting in the EU
All data on NetCo servers in the EU — no third-country transfer.
- Art. 28 GDPR
Data processing agreement
Template provided by the NetCo team — closed quickly and easily.
- Art. 32 GDPR
Technical and organizational measures
Separate documentation of all TOMs — auditable and transparent.
The right location is critical.
Data protection starts with the angle. The camera is aligned so it captures your construction site — neighbouring properties, footpaths and public areas stay out of frame. What doesn't belong in the picture is never recorded in the first place.
- Your own property in focus
- Public areas kept out of the field of view
- Site assessment before installation
- Field of view aligned with you
GDPR andconstruction cameras
-
May I use a camera on my construction site?
In principle yes — with restrictions. Location and field-of-view are critical. Focus on your own property, avoid public areas. Persons should not be uniquely identifiable.
-
Are persons completely removed from footage?
No — persons are blurred. You keep full overview while privacy is protected. Buildings, public streets and squares can be permanently masked.
-
What is the data processing agreement?
Per Art. 28 GDPR this agreement defines contractual duties between you as Controller and NetCo as Processor. We provide audited templates — quickly and easily signed.
-
What technical measures does NetCo take?
Per Art. 32 GDPR we document all technical and organizational measures: encrypted transmission, servers in the EU, access control, regular security audits, internal staff commitment.
