Digital construction documentation for the demolition of the ring bridges in Magdeburg

Innovative camera technology enables transparent live streaming of the demolition work on Halberstädter Straße.

Magdeburg/Blankenburg, November 2025 – NetCo Professional Services GmbH is supporting the demolition of the dilapidated ring bridges in Magdeburg with state-of-the-art digital construction documentation. Since the beginning of November, two high-resolution construction site cameras have been documenting the complex demolition work on Halberstädter Straße and streaming the images live to the website of the state capital, Magdeburg. The GDPR-compliant solution enables citizens and project stakeholders to follow the progress of the works in real time.

Background to the project

The ring bridges over Halberstädter Straße and Brenneckestraße had to be completely closed in August 2025 following the discovery of extensive damage to the superstructure. The city council subsequently decided to demolish and replace the dilapidated structures. Demolition work began on 3 November 2025 and is scheduled to be completed by 12 December. Construction of a temporary bridge is planned from January 2026.

The installed camera systems operate using the cloud-based software BauTV+ and offer extensive functions for digital construction site documentation:

The software automatically generates daily construction reports and enables site management to access all documentation from any location.
